Virtual Gifts

An act of kindness with a tremendous impact.

Legal aid is crucial in enabling refugees and asylum seekers to access their human rights and reach safety and freedom. Legal aid prevents unjust deportations, enables those who have fled violence and persecution to leave camps where no human being should be forced to live, and allows people to begin fulfilling lives in their new host countries.

That’s why we’ve set up SolidariTee virtual gifts - to ensure that dignity and human rights are upheld for those fleeing danger. We view legal aid as the most empowering, long-term form of support we can offer, and a little money goes a long way with the NGOs we support. We carefully select our grant recipients to ensure that we are funding work where the need is greatest, meaning we can have the largest positive impact for refugees and asylum seekers.

With each gift, the recipient will receive a brochure with more information on our work and the impact of the donation, and if it's a gift for someone else, the recipient will also receive a handwritten card with a message of your choice. If you’d like to donate yourself as opposed to gifting a donation, you can also do so below.

Thank you for standing with us and refugees everywhere.

£20

Could fund a night of accommodation for 5 volunteers, including translators, legal assistants, and caseworkers.

£27

Could fund two full-time caseworkers in Greece for the day. They work with lawyers to help around 40 people navigate asylum and family reunification processes.

£75

Could fund a Greek lawyer for a day. Greek lawyers deal with appeals for asylum claims, deportations, and more.

£200

Could fund a full-time caseworker for two weeks, supporting individuals and leading information sessions to advise as many people as they can of the asylum process and their rights.

£520

Could fund a Greek lawyer for a week, representing asylum seekers in some of the most crucial moments of their lives during asylum appeals and family reunification cases.

Please note that whilst these figures are based on budget lines from NGOs that we currently fund or have funded in the past, they are only estimates intended to give you an appreciation of the impact a donation can have. SolidariTee operates on a grant-giving model - all donations that we receive enter a central funding pool, from which we give grants to organisations giving sustainable, effective legal aid on the ground. Donations for virtual gifts are received through DonorBox, which is linked to PayPal. Please consider covering the cost of donation fees, as we are unable to recover these otherwise.

If you’d like to make a donation for a different amount, please click here. If you cannot donate through PayPal for any reason, please email fundraising@solidaritee.org.uk and we can arrange an alternative method of donation.
